The 47th edition of the Bièvres International Photographic Fair will be held on the City Hall plaza of Bièvres ( in the Essonne department, some 15km south-west of Paris, France), saturday june 5th and sunday june 6th 2010. This event brought over more than 30 000 visitors from all over France, Europe and overseas, either amateurs or professional photographers and collectors or editors. The fair is organised by the Photo Club de Paris Val de Bièvre under the auspices of the Bièvres city, the department of Essonne and the Fédération Photographique de France.
Heart of the Bièvres International Photographic Fair is the antiques and second hand market. It welcomes traders and buyers from around the world. We notice an increase in visitors from overseas and recent European countries. One can find rare pieces of equipment, images and books on the fair. It is also a great place to shop for used lenses and accessories and all kinds of goodies, whether for film or digital equipment. As a matter of fact, digital equipment is more present on the fair every year.
On sunday, more than 100 artists, coming from France and other European countries, exhibit their work and participate in a free contest, richly granted by our sponsors (Adobe, Corel, Epson, Nikon, Bogen Imaging, Manfrotto, Pentax, X-rite, Photosapiens.com, Lexar, Colour Confidence, The city of Bièvres and the Fédération Photographique de France).
For the thrid time, conferences will be lead, under the auspices of our partners (Adobe, Epson, X-Rite …), by well-known lecturers about their top notch technologies. So, our visitors will update their knowledge. Some of the conferences are also be dedicated to the initiation of beginners or intermediate photographers.
